Time background

​The Renaissance period is used to describe the era when Europeans moved away from the ideas of the middle ages.

​

• Middle ages : The main idea is focused on the absolute power of God and was enforced by the Roman Catholic Church.

• Period : Began in the 14th century in Florence, Italy and  and ended in the 17th century. In the 14th century, people started break away from the idea of God and it produced enormous upheaval in the accepted social hierarchy(社會階級). 

• Representative figure : Dante, Shakespeare, Leonardoo Da Vinci.

• Core : Humanism and  new openness

Shakespeare was also effected by the Renaissance, so most of his comedy were completed in this period.
