Shakespeare's sonnets

  • 154 poems are totally included and they are generally believed to be written from 1592 to 1598.

  • The poem collection is divided into two parts. The first part is the first 126 songs dedicated to a young fair Lord. And the second part dedicated to a dark Lady, mainly describing love.

  • For poets, the more rigorous the structure of the poem, the harder it is to express lyricism. But Shakespeare ’s sonnets are free-spirited. Just as his play is full of imagination, the language of his poetry is also imaginative and full of emotion.
